Maledettamente: frequently asked questions !

Fidatevi.

8. Da cavallo si cade.

E molto, decine di volte, soprattutto all'inizio.

                                                                              ***

 1. Horse riding is a sport.

A real sport, in the sense that one sweats, slim, do the muscles and returns home coll'acido lactic acid in your veins. No, it is that the horse gets the deck and you're kind sprawled in an armchair. There is a long series of grueling exercises for the rider, and not all for the mere sake of firm up your ass, but to become able to stay in the saddle in (almost) all situazioni.Avete this that pretty "up and down" the Knight is on the saddle when the horse trots? Try to do the same without brackets. The brackets are a useful support through which the rider transfers part of its weight to the horse and then to the ground, but he must guarantee safety through a firm and continuous pressure on the saddle of the legs, which puts a strain on dangerously inner thigh muscles .Also: a horse can lift a 70 kg man with only the neck, without special effort. So believe that this package does not have the strength to win enoght that of your slender arms? Biceps, triceps, deltoids and lats do not fare better than the thigh.

2. Horse riding is not a thing for ladies with a snotty nose.

And here we could open fine parentheses, which summarize in the following points:- The horse is self-cleaning and there is no magic elves to do it for you after sunset. If you want to ride a horse you have to deal frequently with mud, soil, dirt, excrement various burrs and hair, hair, hair.- By itself, the care of the horse is tiring because the mounts. A potentially infinite series of operations preceding and following the time of mating, most of which in turn provides physical fatigue directly (strigliate or sheared more than two horses in a row and begin to believe the unbelievable) or indirectly (transport of objects heavy scattered everywhere for the team in general), and in any case does not allow you, if you are a woman, your manicure that lasts more than 45 seconds. If you are men, 30 seconds.- The horse is at the same time immensely strong and immensely more stupid than you. Which, believe me, because a long series of drawbacks. The animal often has emotions for us does not always make sense and it is said that it is easy to bridle 600 kg of "senseless emotions.

 3. To learn how to ride a horse it takes years of learning and there are various schools with methods different from each other.

So, for pity's sake, do not say that you know ride a horse if you did it once at Easter for a ride in the country on a mule.

4. The horse is a thinking being.

Whatever I have said the same low level of intellectual potential of a horse if weighted at those of a man (and there are still human cases in this regard that would make the debate very interesting), the animal is capable of reasoning very shiny, as simple. A horse understands with ease whether a beginner or experienced rider is and acts accordingly (bringing patience with beginners, yes, but also taking liberties that the expert did not leave), anxiety and perceived safety of the partner, expresses very clearly needs, fear, happiness, nervousness, anger, boredom, affection and happiness. It recognizes people and things, learns quickly, even fool you.

5. The horse is not a human being.

And so I do not filled with trinkets and fiocchettini for him completely meaningless. Do not expect that to bear children and frolic in the legs or sticking to the tail. Or that accept gushing indefinitely: the demonstrations of affection are like, but without excessive intrusiveness.

6. Who rides a horse is a jockey.

A jockey is the only rider who participates in flat races or obstacle course, the others are called simply riders and amazons, depending on the sex. It should not stick to height and weight restrictions, because there is a horse for any size.

7. Horse Riding does not come bowlegged.

Trust.

8. You fall from a horse.

And much, dozens of times, especially at first. So do not think that any fall from a horse presupposes at best a total paralysis of the victim only because it happened to Christopher Reeves, the majority of falls occur without any consequences (except for the self-respect). Prudence, of course, is never enough, and so it is necessary the use of the cap (helmet with chin strap, covered in velvet).

9. The horse does not jump on command.

It seems that one of the curiosities that most afflict the uninitiated this is equitation. I have been asked a lot of times if the horses, faced with an obstacle, jump spontaneously or are in need of a specific command to do so.But damn, do you really think a mammal, whether direct 60 per hour against a wooden wall, there are psychiatrists of smashing the bones unless I tell you?! But it is clear that a horse jumps equally, if he feels like it. The technical success of a jump but obviously dall'affiatamento result of the combination, the correctness of the approach to the obstacle and therefore also in large part by the performance of the rider.10. To ride a horse is not necessary a red jacket with tails and white pants. The clothes that you will use to ride a horse you get dirty and wear out easily. There is therefore a specific clothing, fabrics and hides designed to withstand particularly in the areas of stress and create maximum comfort, but it is still white pants and red jacket appearing in the popular imagination. Those clothes are exclusively for English riding, competition, and in any case differ depending on the disciplines. And not only for western riding, is not that one puts on a broad-brimmed hat, the Spurs star, begins to shake arms and legs shouting "yyyyyyehhaaa!" and you're done ...

Therefore let them feel free to ask me anything you want, provided they are not already answered on these damn 10 frequently asked questions.
